Our team is our strength. Bringing so many dedicated individuals together helps us give our partners a service experience unlike any other. Everyone from management to operations, investment team to advisors has been carefully selected for the strengths they bring to the firm.
Our team members have proven in-depth knowledge of investment markets, portfolio management, investment analysis, economics, as well as tax and estate planning. Many team members hold one or several professional designations including chartered financial analyst (CFA), chartered investment manager (CIM®), certified financial planner (CFP®), chartered professional accountant (CPA) and fellow, Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA), as well as Master's degrees in Business Administration (MBA) and Economics.

Heather Hurshman
VP and Portfolio Manager
Heather Hurshman is responsible for fixed income security management at Louisbourg Investments and has managed fixed income portfolios for over 20 years. She utilizes her education and work experience to appropriately assess underlying security/credit risk attributes and evaluate relative value opportunities with yields examined on a risk adjusted basis.
Prior to joining Louisbourg Investments, Heather served on management teams at various investment firms, where she successfully managed fixed income mandates. She also worked in that field for one of Canada's top insurance companies.
Heather obtained a bachelor’s degree in commerce (finance major), a bachelor of arts degree (economics major) and a master's degree (economics) from Dalhousie University.
